The purpose of this Collection Development Policy is to inform staff and the community on selection guidelines, maintenance, and management of this specific collection about Inca Culture.

One of the most notable ancient cultures of South America is undoubtedly the Inca civilization. This collection focuses on the arts and visions of the Inca civilization in Cusco, Peru.
Mission
All selection, maintenance, and management decisions related to the Inca Culture collection are made with consideration to the community’s needs and interests and are designed to help achieve the library’s overall mission and vision.
Format
The format of the selected collection can be printed books and electronic books for digital access. The formats with digital access will facilitate information literacy in the community..
Languages
The format of the selected publications are printed books and electronic books. The acquisition of these publications can be acquired in Spanish and English. It could also be considered publications in the Quechua language and translated into the English language.

These choices made are based on selection criteria that include:
